Biomass Building and Boiler room

With a client wishing to heat their estate buildings sustainably, Kishorn Heritage delivered a new state-of-the-art Biomass plant. The centralised district heating system was housed in a series of new buildings constructed of traditional materials, including local stone, timber and corrugated roofing which blended in seamlessly with existing structures on the estate.

The purpose-built plant was used to heat the main castle, four large estate cottages, estate maintenance buildings and a new steading development, which we also constructed. Working as principal contractor, Kishorn Heritage constructed the plant house and engaged and managed all specialist contractors and engineers to successfully deliver this project. Working to a strict schedule, the biomass plant was completed ready for the winter holiday season on the estate.
