Steading
This project saw an existing derelict steading faithfully restored and reimagined as a complex multifunctional space. Kishorn Heritage’s multidisciplinary team worked fastidiously to restore the steading’s stonework and install a new roof – retaining the original ceiling ties – while original timber doors were restored, rough plaster walls left untouched and stonework left exposed.
Full of original character, the steading comprises atmospheric event spaces, Douglas fir-clad reception rooms, oak-floored dancehall with grand timber staircase, master stables, offices, kitchens and laundry with locally-made oak cabinetry.
